Alwayside

Privacy Policy

Alwayside is designed to provide a personal AI companion experience while giving you clear control over your information.

Effective: October 5, 2026

Information we process

We process the profile choices you provide, your messages and voice-call transcripts, companion preferences, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service. If you contact support, we process the email address and message you submit.

Messages, memory, and AI providers

Your messages and relevant conversation context are sent to AI service providers to generate responses. Alwayside's optional memory feature may save short facts that help make future conversations more personal. Memory stays off until you allow it, and you can turn it off or delete saved memory from Settings.

Advertising, AdMob, and advertising ID

Alwayside shows rewarded and interstitial ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To serve and measure ads, prevent fraud, and limit ad frequency, AdMob and its partners may collect and process your device's advertising ID (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS), IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information (such as device model, OS version, and language), and ad interaction data such as impressions, clicks, and rewards. This may involve cookies, SDK identifiers, and similar technologies. We do not send your messages, voice transcripts, or saved memories to AdMob.

Where required (for example in the EEA, UK, and some other regions), we ask for your consent through Google's consent form before ads are requested, and ads are not requested until consent is obtained. On iOS we ask for permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency before accessing the IDFA; if you decline, ads may still appear but will not use the IDFA for personalization. On Android the app declares the advertising ID (AD_ID) permission for these purposes.

You can manage your choices at any time: use the privacy options entry in Settings (shown where required) to change your ad consent; reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking); or opt out of ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. Opting out does not remove ads, but they will be less relevant. Learn how Google uses data from partner apps at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Subscribers may see fewer or no ads according to their plan.

Storage and retention

We retain information only while it is needed to provide the service, protect it, or meet legal obligations. Retention can vary by data type. Operational logs are limited and are not intended to contain message, prompt, or memory content.

Your choices

Settings lets you review and withdraw memory permission, delete saved memories, delete your personal app data, or permanently delete your account. Turning memory off stops new memory creation and use; existing memories remain until you choose to delete them.

Security and children

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. Alwayside is not intended for children under the minimum age required in their country to consent to digital services.

Support and updates

For privacy questions, support, or account and data deletion requests, email us at ulgenstudios@gmail.com. You can also contact us through Settings → Support in the Alwayside app. We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise the effective date when we do.
